Hungary’s explosive Budapest Gypsy Symphony Orchestra returns to Athens to perform for one night only at the outdoor Katrakeio theatre.

The orchestra combines the spontaneity of gypsy music with the accuracy and synchronisation of a typical Viennese orchestra, performed by 100 masterful musicians (74 violins, 10 bass, 10 clarinets, 6 cymbals).
Known around the world for their high energy performances and colourful traditional costumes, the musical programme includes works from Liszt, Bartok, Kodaly, Hubay, Erkel, Brahms, Tchaikovsky, Sarasate, Strauss with modern and traditional Hungarian and Gypsy music.
