The famous Les Ballets de Monte-Carlo comes to the Megaron in Athens this Christmas, unravelling the story of Cinderella as we know it.
The ballet company’s distinguished choreographer and artistic director, Jean Christophe Maillot, peels back the layers from the well-known fairy-tale of Cinderella and focuses on the emotional world of the main heroine.

Freed from the notion of a glass slipper and pumpkin clichés, Maillot’s dynamic choreography reverses the traditions and moral of the story. The simply dressed, barefooted Cinderella claims the prince’s love without being dazzled by the affluence of his life. In the end, it is she who saves him from his mundane existence.
