Greek composer and former politician Thanos Mikroutsikos presents this musical performance with poetry by Nikos Kavvadias at the Odeon of Herodes Atticus.
Kavvadias’ 20th century poetry was greatly popularized in Greece largely due to two albums – Southern Cross (1979) and Horizons Lines (1991), that were released by Mikroutsikos.

Southern Cross is considered one of the greatest albums in the history of Greek music, having sold over two million copies.
Kavvadias explored themes such as freedom, subversion and the impulse of life beyond conventions.
Celebrating 40 years since the release of Southern Cross, notable Greek vocalists and musicians come together for a spellbinding concert that will honour music and poetry beneath the shadow of the Acropolis.
