The Thread is an innovative modern performance infused with traditional Greek dance, performing at the Megaron in Athens.

Internationally acclaimed choreographer Russell Maliphant forges the past with the present, combining contemporary dance with that of the Greek folk tradition. Eighteen Greek dancers, six trained in folk dancing, the rest in ballet and contemporary dance, portray a new vision of movement for today’s audiences.

Greek composer Vangelis (Chariots of Fire, Blade Runner) provides a powerful score, mixing old world instruments with electronica. The ancient and the modern come together for this dynamic performance at an iconic location.
