The Gagosian Gallery in Athens presents recent works on paper by renowned German artist, Georg Baselitz. The selection includes works from several recent thematic series rendered, including drawings from 2015 with reference to Hokusai. The figures of Baselitz, painted with pen, ink and watercolour, pop dynamically through the sparse coats that is synonymous of the artist.

Georg Baselitz is an accomplished artist and considered a pioneer of the Neo-Expressionism movement. His works form part of important collections around the world including, the Berlinische Galerie Museum of Modern Art in Berlin, the Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris, the Tate Modern in London among others.
