American female vocalist Martha High (a.k.a Martha Harvin) comes to the Half Note Jazz Club in Athens, performing genuine soul and her unique style of rhythm & blues and funk.

With a career spanning more than 30 years, High spent a good part of her career touring and singing background vocals for James Brown. She has shared the stage with other great artists including, Little Richard, Jerry lee Lewis, The Temptations, Aretha Franklin, Patti LaBelle, B.B. King, Mary J Blige, Stevie Wonder, Prince and Michael Jackson, The Police and others.
High has established a huge international audience and now reaches a new generation with her latest album “Singing For The Good Times”. She tours with emerging band, Soul Cookers with rising stars Eric Wakenius on vocals/guitar, Leonardo Corradi on keyboard and Tony Match on drums.
