The renowned Russian Circus on Ice visits Athens for the first time to perform Hans Christian Andersen’s fairy tale The Snow Queen.

A cast of 40 dancers and acrobats will perform spectacular stunts and breathtaking acrobatics against the backdrop of magical sets. Immerse yourself in the snow-covered winter forest of the far north this festive season.

THE SNOW QUEEN STORY

An enchanting tale of friendship and bravery centering around the struggle between good and evil as experienced by Gerda and her best friend Kai.

Russian Circus on Ice Athens Snow Queen

When Kai begins to act cruelly, Gerda knows that something has gone terribly wrong and when he disappears, she knows she is the only one who can find him. Gerda sets off on an epic journey, facing three great trials before finally discovering Kai at the palace of the evil Snow Queen.

The story is one of Andersen’s longest and most highly acclaimed stories. It is regularly included in selected tales and collections of his work and is frequently reprinted in illustrated storybook editions for children.

The Russian Circus On Ice dance company has been creating productions on ice for the last 50 years with an ensemble of the world’s best ice dancers and acrobats.
