The St Petersburg Ballet Theatre of Russia returns this festive season in Athens with one of Tchaikovsky’s most famous compositions, The Nutcracker.
Soloists from both the St Petersburg Ballet and the Mariinsky Theatre will lead the performance over two acts, accompanied by a 60-member Symphony Orchestra at the Galatsi Olympic Hall in northern Athens.
The Nutcracker is a Christmas story full of love and fantasy written in 1816 by German author, E.T.A Hoffman. More than 200 years on, it is a musical and theatrical masterpiece that will enchant the whole family.
