A philosophical text adapted for the stage
To commemorate the 60 year anniversary since the passing of the great Greek author Nikos Kazantzakis, the philosophical work, Ascesis: The Saviors of God (“Askitiki” in Greek) has been adapted to theatre with live music and dance sequences to address the great questions of life and redemption that Kazantzakis poses in this famous text. Presented at the iconic Odeon of Herodes Atticus.
Adapted for the stage by Panos Angelopoulos. Music by: Dimitris Papadimitriou. With the support of the ” KAZANTZAKI ” publications and the “MICHALIS KAKOGIANNIS” Foundation.
