Twelve of Russia’s best ballet dancers, from two infamous dance companies, Moscow’s Bolshoi Ballet Academy and St. Petersburg’s Mariinsky Theatre (formerly Kirov) come to Athens to perform on one stage as part of a glittering ballet gala entitled, Dancing is My Life.
Six magical couples will perform famous pas de deux (ballet duets in harmony) choreographies from the much-loved productions of Swan Lake, Sleeping Beauty, Giselle, Don Quixote and Romeo and Juliet, Carmen and more.
These twelve dancers will convey their love for their art through the international language of classical ballet.
From the Bolshoi Theatre, first dancers Maria Alexandrova and Vladislav Lantradov, Aleksandr Voltskov and the soloist Anastasia Goradacheva. First dancer Ruslan Skortchkov and the soloist Xenia Zigansina.
From the Marinski Theater of St. Petersburg, first soloists, Philip Stepin and Ekaterina Osmolkina. First soloists Konstantin Sveren and Kristina Sapran. First dancer Timur Askerov and soloist Oxana Bondareva.
