Marking a year of cultural exchange between Greece and Russia
On the occasion of the first anniversary of Greece and Russia’s cultural relations, the famous Moiseyev Dance Company will perform at the spectacular amphitheatre, Odeon of Herodes Atticus at the foothills of the Acropolis. The ballet academy is renowned for its Russian folk dancing and on this occasion will mark the cultural alliance between Russia and Greece by performing to the Greek music compositions of Mikis Theodorakis and Vasilis Tsitsanis.
About Moiseyev Dance Company
Moiseyev Dance Company was founded by artistic director and choreographer Igor Moiseyev. It upholds a 70 year tradition and is globally acclaimed as one of the greatest folk dance groups. The ensemble has been honoured as Russia’s official State Academic Ensemble of Popular Dance.
